Hailing from Toronto, DJ MelBoogie is one of Canada’s most renowned female DJs, with a career spanning over 30 years. She has dedicated her voice and time to various community and music organizations, including serving as the DJ for the 2023 JUNO Awards tribute to 50 years of hip-hop, where she shared the stage with Canadian icons like Kardinal Offishall and Michie Mee. The performance was televised nationwide, reaching 2.2 million viewers.

As Chair of the JUNO Rap Advisory Board, MelBoogie has worked to amplify women’s voices and co-produced the Black Music Brunch with Maestro Fresh Wes, an annual event celebrating contributors to Black music across Canada. She’s also opened for entertainment legends like Kevin Hart, Lauryn Hill, and Snoop Dogg and toured with top Canadian artists, including Maestro Fresh Wes and Michie Mee.
