Jake Paul Announces Boxing Match With Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

Jake Paul’s next opponent is former WBC middleweight champ Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., the son of boxing legend Julio Cesar Chavez.

The 10-round bout will take place June 28 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.

Coming off his victory over Tyson by unanimous decision on Nov. 15, Jake Paul is 11-1 with seven knockouts. Julio César Chávez Jr., at 39, is 54-6-1 with 34 knockouts. He was the WBC middleweight world champion from 2011 to 2012, but he has not shown championship form for many years.

No surprise, Jake Paul is already talking smack.

“Chávez Jr. is Mexican, but I, El Gallo De Dorado, mexi-CAN knock him tf out. On Saturday, June 28, live on DAZN pay-per-view, I will defeat Julio and make Chávez Sr. proud in ways Jr. never has. Viva La Puerto Rico,” he wrote on Instagram.
