Two of the biggest names in Italian fashion will soon be under one roof. On Thursday, Prada purchased Versace for $1.375 billion.
Analysts see the move was for both brands to keep pace with Louis Vuitton owner LVMH.
The news follows the March announcement of Donatella Versace stepping down as Chief Creative Officer of Versace.
